Cycling quiet country lanes through quaint little villages in Constable Country

One of my favourite things has got to be a trip out and about in Constable Country in East Anglia. With the Stour Valley running through it, this bit of East Anglia is a truly beautiful part of the country.

Spend a perfect sunny Sunday cycling around the small country roads through quaint little villages or enjoying a walk or boat ride between Dedham and Flatford down to the Flatford Mill – the location of one of Constable’s most famous paintings.

Take a picnic or sample one of the many great pubs in the Dedham area – The Sun Inn is usually rather good. They serve up locally sourced seasonal grub in a lovely relaxed setting. The little garden out the back is the perfect spot to soak up the autumn sunshine.
